I parked my truck on the side of a dirt road near Mkuzi as a thunderstorm headed right at me. This Burchell's Coucall, a sub species of the Cucoo had just landed on this fire burned tree trunk, seeking a safe place to wait out the storm. The torrential rain came and left quickly, soaking this rarely seen Bird who stared at me as I rolled down my window to take this shot.
